Laurie Barkman

Laurie Barkman is a seasoned hospitality leader turned wellness advocate, with over two decades of experience building community and inspiring connection. She is the founder of a coaching practice for women 40+, guiding clients toward sustainable wellness, and the creator of the annual Wellness Connection event. Laurie also served as Manitoba Ambassador for World Wellness Weekend, advancing global wellbeing initiatives.

Her volunteer spirit runs deep, with past leadership roles at SKAL Winnipeg, the Manitoba Marketing Association, Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, and Helping Hands for Manitobans with Breast Cancer. She brings a unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience to her role with Compassion for Everyone.

Beyond work and volunteering, Laurie treasures family life as a wife, mom, and grandma. She enjoys reading, gardening, and travelling, and believes in living with balance and heart. Laurie is honoured to support CFE’s mission of care and community.
